A 30 minutes travel time from Baguio City, this sprawling 6-hectare property features beautifully landscaped gardens, tranquil pathways, and unique attractions that make it a perfect escape from the traffic of city life.

First Impressions

As we arrived at Mount Costa, we were greeted by the cool mountain air and a serene ambiance. The entrance itself was inviting, with a glimpse of the lush gardens that awaited us. Known for its expansive collection of thematic gardens, Mount Costa offers a blend of elegance and local charm, making it a one-of-a-kind destination in Benguet.

The Gardens

Mount Costa boasts over 24 unique gardens, each with its own design and theme. Here are some of the highlights from our visit:

1. Meditation Garden

True to its name, this garden exudes peace and tranquility. With minimalist landscaping, a koi pond, and shaded seating areas, it’s a perfect spot for quiet reflection.

2. Sunflower Garden

Bright and cheerful, this garden features rows of sunflowers that make for a stunning photo backdrop. The vibrant yellow blooms stand out against the green mountain scenery.

3. Zen Garden

Inspired by Japanese aesthetics, the Zen Garden features meticulously raked sand, bonsai trees, and bamboo accents. It’s a calming space that feels almost meditative.

4. Rainbow Garden

One of the most Instagram-worthy spots in Mount Costa, the Rainbow Garden features colorful floral arrangements that create a picture-perfect palette.

5. Stonehenge Garden

A quirky recreation of the iconic Stonehenge, this garden is great for fun photos and a touch of whimsy.

Final Thoughts

Mount Costa is a serene retreat that offers a refreshing experience for visitors. Sadly, the park needed to be more wheelchair-friendly or has other features to accommodate persons with disabilities. Anyways, whether you’re a plant lover, a photography enthusiast, or simply looking to unwind, this garden haven is a must-visit when exploring La Trinidad and Benguet. It’s a place where nature’s beauty and thoughtful design come together, leaving you inspired and rejuvenated.
